Level 4 Machinists perform all of the functions of lower level Machinists such as, while also changing out and monitoring machine tools and fixtures during the process of manufacturing, making adjustments when necessary.
This is an Off-Shift position. Candidates must be able to work either 2nd or 3rd shift.
Starting at $18+ per Hour
Employees working off-shifts (2nd or 3rd) receive an additional premium of $1.00 per hour.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Follows work instructions to load and operate CNC Machinery
- Ensures finished parts have been fully machined to meet specifications
- Performs routine quality checks/measurements
- Maintains a clean work area
- Monitors tool usage and plans for periodic adjustment or replacement of worn tools
- Responds to tool change calls
- Completes tool changes accurately and efficiently
- Operates CMM as needed
- Able to work 2nd or 3rd shift
Requirements
- 1+ Years related experience.
- CNC Machine Tool changing experience
- Blue print reading
- Knowledge of GD&T
- Math Skills
- Ability to safely lift and carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 55lbs
- Physically able to stand for at least 8 hours a day
- Ability to work in loud chemical filled areas.
Preferred Skills
- Associates Degree in Machining Technology
- Knowledge of IATF 16949
